An offline video stabilizer in your browser

Install SteadyCut, a free browser video stabilizer, for offline use. Learn how local processing, installation, and safe app updates work.

Install and prepare for offline use

  1. Open SteadyCut while connected to the internet.
  2. Wait for the “Ready for offline use” message. Keep the page open until caching finishes.
  3. Use “Install app” when your browser offers it. On iPhone or iPad, open Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On desktop, use the browser's installation option if available.
  4. Reopen the app in the same browser or installed app. You can choose and stabilize local videos without an internet connection.

New versions without losing your work

Updates download when you reconnect. Idle sessions update automatically. If you have a video open, an update message lets you choose when to reset your session. Download your result before updating.

Offline limitations

Offline availability depends on browser storage. Clearing site data or storage eviction removes the cached app. Installation does not add codec support, extra memory, or background processing guarantees. Keep the app open while processing.

Questions and answers

Can I stabilize videos offline?

Yes, after the app confirms it is ready for offline use. Visit once while connected to cache the app, then reopen it in the same browser or installed app. Clearing browser storage removes offline availability.

Which browser should I use?

Use an up-to-date browser that supports video decoding and encoding. The app checks basic support, then checks the selected file and encoder during processing. Some codecs remain unavailable on particular devices.

Will installing the app keep it up to date?

The app checks for new versions when online. Updates apply automatically when all open sessions are idle. A selected video or unfinished download is protected until you choose to update or close that session.
